Littering
KRS 512.070 — criminal littering is a Class A misdemeanor
Criminal littering is knowingly throwing litter on any public or private property or into any water without permission, dropping injurious material on a highway and not removing it right away, carelessly leaving glass or other sharp things near water where the public swims or within fifty feet of a public highway, or discharging sewage, oil or litter into public waters.

A Class A misdemeanor carries up to twelve months and a fine of up to $500. The citation may allow prepayment at the Circuit Court clerk, and a local government may make littering a civil offense instead. Whether a particular charge fits is a question for a licensed Kentucky attorney.
