Minimum Wage and Overtime
KRS 337.275 — $7.25 an hour, and time and a half after 40 hours in a week
- The state minimum is $7.25 an hour, in effect since July 1, 2009.
- An employee who regularly receives more than $30 a month in tips may be paid the federal tipped minimum.
No employee works more than 40 hours in a workweek unless paid at least one and one half times the regular hourly rate for the hours over 40.
