Working Under Eighteen

KRS 339.220 — no work under fourteen, and no school hours under sixteen

  • No minor under fourteen years of age works in any gainful occupation, except in a school sponsored and approved work program.
  • A minor of fourteen or fifteen does not work during regular school hours, unless the school has arranged other hours or the minor has graduated.
  • Minors under eighteen are kept from the places and work the section lists.
