Jury Duty And A Job
Mo. Rev. Stat. § 494.460 — no firing or discipline, and no forced use of leave
A Missouri employer may not fire, discipline, threaten or take adverse action against an employee for receiving or answering a jury summons, and may not require or ask the employee to use vacation, personal or sick leave for jury service.
Ninety days to sue. An employee fired in violation may sue within ninety days of the discharge for lost wages and other damages and reinstatement, with a reasonable attorney's fee if the employee wins.
