Photo ID To Vote
Neb. Rev. Stat. § 32-914 — a valid photographic identification at the polls, and a provisional envelope without one
No ballot is handed to a voter until the voter presents valid photographic identification and states their name and address to the clerk of election.
- A document from the United States, Nebraska, a Nebraska agency or political subdivision, or a Nebraska college, showing the name and a photograph.
- A military, Veterans Affairs or recognized tribal document with the name and a photograph.
- A hospital, nursing home, assisted living or hospice record with the name and a photograph.
Without it. A registered voter who does not produce valid photographic identification, or who has a reasonable impediment to getting one or a religious objection to being photographed, votes using a provisional identification verification envelope.
A voter who registered by mail and has not voted before may have an additional identification step. A particular election question is one for the county election office or a licensed Nebraska attorney.
