Time Off To Vote
Neb. Rev. Stat. § 32-922 — two consecutive hours while the polls are open, without a loss of pay
Two consecutive hours. A registered voter without two consecutive hours off work while the polls are open is entitled to be absent long enough to make two consecutive hours with their own off time.
A voter who applies for the leave before or on election day suffers no penalty and no deduction from wages. The employer may specify the hours of the absence.
A shift that already leaves two open hours during voting earns no extra time. A particular job is a question for a licensed Nebraska attorney.
