What Parents Answer For
Neb. Rev. Stat. § 43-801 — property a child willfully destroys, and medical bills up to one thousand dollars for an injury
Willful and intentional. Parents are jointly and severally liable for the willful and intentional destruction of property, and infliction of personal injury, by their minor or unemancipated children living with them or placed in another's care.
For a personal injury, only hospital and medical expenses are recoverable, up to one thousand dollars for each occurrence. A particular claim is a question for a licensed Nebraska attorney.
