N.D.C.C. § 12-60.1-05 — the court record closes sixty-one days after a nonconviction
- When a court enters a nonconviction order on or after August 1, 2025, it closes the court record after sixty-one days.
- For a case ended earlier, the defendant may petition, with no filing fee, and the court closes the record within ten days if the requirements are met.
- It does not apply to a dismissal in a plea deal for another conviction, a finding of unfitness or lack of criminal responsibility, or a case that was appealed.
