Shoplifting
N.D.C.C. § 12.1-23-05 — a first shoplifting of $500 or less is a class B misdemeanor
- Shoplifting property worth $500 or less is a class B misdemeanor for a first offense.
- A second or third such offense within three years is a class A misdemeanor.
- A fourth or later within four years is a class C felony.
- Above $500, ordinary theft grading applies.
