R.I. Gen. Laws § 42-46-6 — a schedule each January, and forty-eight hours' notice with the business to be discussed
Every public body gives written notice of its regularly scheduled meetings at the start of each calendar year, with dates, times and places.
Forty-eight hours. Supplemental written notice of any meeting is posted at least forty-eight hours before, not counting weekends and state holidays, with the date, time, place and a statement of the business to be discussed.
A public body keeps copies of its notices for at least one year.
A body may close part of a meeting for the purposes the act lists. A particular meeting is a question for a licensed Rhode Island attorney.
