Registering to Vote
R.I. Gen. Laws § 17-9.1-3 — registration closes on the thirtieth day before an election
Thirty days. Registration for any election closes on the thirtieth day before it.
Local boards take registrations all year during business hours, not on Sundays or legal holidays, and on the last day they stay open until 4 p.m.
A particular registration is a question for the local board of canvassers.
