The Last Paycheck
R.I. Gen. Laws § 28-14-4 — due the next regular payday, with accrued vacation after a year, and within twenty-four hours if the business closes
Whenever an employee leaves or is let go, the unpaid wages are due on the next regular payday, at the usual place of payment.
Vacation after a year. An employee with at least one year of service is paid accrued vacation under any written or verbal policy or agreement, in full or prorated, with the last wages.
When the employer liquidates, merges, sells or moves the business out of state, all wages are due within twenty-four hours of the separation.
