Robbery

13 V.S.A. § 608 — up to 10 years, up to 15 when armed, and up to 20 when someone is hurt

  • Assaulting someone and taking money or property from their person or in their presence carries up to 10 years.
  • Doing it while armed with a dangerous weapon carries not less than one year and up to 15 years.
  • Causing bodily injury while attempting or committing the robbery carries not less than one year and up to 20 years, in place of the other penalties.
