Who Cannot Have a Gun

13 V.S.A. § 4017 — a conviction for a violent crime, a final abuse order, and pending charges for the listed felonies

  • A person convicted of a violent crime may not possess a firearm.
  • Nor may a fugitive from justice, or the subject of a final relief from abuse order.
  • Nor the subject of a final stalking order that bars firearms, or someone with charges pending for the listed felonies.
