Getting Paid
W.S. 27-4-101 — twice a month in the trades the law names, with an itemized statement
An employer running a railroad, mine, refinery, oil and gas work, or another factory, mill or workshop pays wages for the first half of a month by the first day of the next month, and for the second half by the fifteenth. When a payday falls on a day that is not a working day, the last working day before it is payday.

- Every employer gives each employee, with each payment, an itemized written statement of all deductions.
- Pay can go into a bank or credit union account if the employee voluntarily authorizes it.
- An employee temporarily laid off, or whose work stops over a labor dispute, is paid in full on the next regular payday for the work done up to then.
- Agricultural operations are exempt.
Breaking these rules is a misdemeanor with a fine of up to $750, up to six months in the county jail, or both.
