The Motorcycle Helmet

Idaho Code § 49-666 — a helmet under eighteen on a motorcycle, ATV or UTV, and a $50 fine

Under eighteen. No one under eighteen may ride or operate a motorcycle, motorbike, UTV or ATV without a protective safety helmet meeting the director's standards, except on private property or in farm use. Enclosed autocycles and UTVs with a roll cage and seat belts are outside the rule.

In a UTV with safety restraints, an operator or passenger sixteen or younger wears one, fastened, while it moves. A citation under the section carries a fine of $50 and no points.
