Magazines and Bump Stocks
13 V.S.A. § 4021 — more than 10 rounds for a long gun, or more than 15 for a handgun
- No one may make, possess, transfer, offer for sale, buy, receive or import a large capacity ammunition feeding device.
- That is a magazine, belt, drum or similar device holding more than 10 rounds for a long gun, or more than 15 rounds for a handgun.
- Devices lawfully possessed before the section took effect are excepted, as are those made only for lever action or bolt action long guns, antique firearms, or curios and relics.
- A violation carries up to one year and $500.
Possessing a bump-fire stock, a stock that uses recoil to make a semiautomatic fire at the rate of an automatic, carries up to one year and $1,000.
