Iowa Code § 537.7103 — no threats of violence or of false criminal accusations
- A debt collector may not collect by threats or coercion.
- That includes using or threatening force or violence to a person or property.
- It includes falsely accusing, or threatening to falsely accuse, a person of fraud or another crime.
- It includes false accusations that a debtor is willfully refusing to pay a just debt.
